XCam2 Instant-On Wireless Video Transmission System, with "Scanning" addressable X10 AC adaptor
The XCam2 is a super-small, indoor or sheltered outdoor video camera
with built-in microphone and radio transmitter!The transmitter can send colour video and sound to the awaiting receiver up to 100 feet away! Capture it all on any TV, VCR, or computer video input! Xcam2 is perfect for monitoring your front door, garage, or keeping an eye on your baby whilst asleep (note the camera will only work in a room with light in it, so the XCam2 is not suitable for monitoring a baby at night time). You simply need a spare mains outlet to plug in the 12V AC adaptor. The camera sends it video/sound via 2.4GHz radio signals to the awaiting XCam2 Receiver unit (the receiver uses Phono/SCART outputs to connect to your TV, VCR's composite video input) X10 controllable! The AC adaptor supplied to power the camera is X10 addressable. So it is possible to have up to 4 cameras sending to the one receiver. All you need do is ensure that each camera's power supply is on the same House Code (eg: A), but a different Address (eg: 1-4). The power supply is intelligent, so when it sees an X10 "On" signal that is destined for an address different to it's own, it turns itself off. So for example, if you had 3 cameras, you could set the first one to A1, the second to A2, and the third to A3. Switching on A1 would automatically ensure that A2 and A3 are off. Turning on A2, would then ensure A1, and A3 are off, and so on, thereby ensuring only 1 camera is ever on at once. Note that the X10 Addressable power supplies work in groups of 4, so the maximum number of controllable cameras in a system is 4, with sequential Addresses (eg A1, A2, A3, and A4). Control which camera you view by remote control! Because the XCam2 comes with the X10 controllable power supply, it is possible to use other X10 products to remotely control which camera you are viewing. Simply add a TM13U RF receiver, and a KR22E remote control, and you can select which camera you view from the comfort of your armchair! Automatic switching! If you want automatic switching of the cameras, no problem! Simply add an MS13 in each room where you have a camera (up to a maximum of 4), and then a TM13 RF receiver (some homes may need 2 TM13s as the operating range of the MS13 is about 20-30 feet). Now when someone walks into the room, the MS13 will sense their movement, signal the TM13, which in turn will turn the camera on in that room! Add the XRayVision Video -> USB adaptor and record all the action on your PC! You can even add additional VS30 receivers to view the same camera in different locations of your house!
